The Russian team won gold medals at the European Aerobatics Championships in the unlimited class. The championship was held in the Czech Republic in the city of Moravska Tresbova from August 20 to 28. In total, five teams participated in the championship, which is 40 pilots. Many athletes decided to compete individually. Mikhail Mamistov, a Russian pilot, became the absolute European champion among men. Among the women is Svetlana Kapanina. The Russian national team took the second place in the team competition. The first is from the French team.

The European Aerobatics Championship in the unlimited class will be held in the Czech Republic from August 18 to 22.

Svetlana Kapanina won: 1 gold medal for the First exercise (free know); 1 gold medal for the Second exercise (free unknown); according to the sum of two exercises, Svetlana Kapanina is the absolute champion of Russia. Also: a team gold medal as a member of the Moscow City team and the G.G. Korchuganova Transfer Cup.

On May 21, a grand celebration was held in Kubinka at the 237th Guards Aviation Technology Display Center named after I. N. Kozhedub in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Russian Knights and Strizhi aerobatic teams with the participation of Svetlana Kapanina.
